Charity Ride for Joe McBride, Saturday, 13 November

This Saturday's Hill Slug ride will be in honor of Joe McBride.

We will ride one of Joe McBride's favorite routes along the Delaware River and the ridge above Frenchtown. Joe didn't like big hills, so we'll stay away from the nasty ones. There will be one rest stop in Upper Black Eddy, PA, and an additional, optional, stop in Sergeantsville. The route is 50 miles.

The ride starts at 9 a.m. Meet in the CVS parking lot off of Route 29 in Lambertville. Wet roads cancel the ride.

Please bring a check made out to the American Diabetes Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Please contact me at perpetualheadwinds at gmail dot com with any questions.

This is Jenna, Joe's daughter. My brother Jared and a few of my friends are thinking about participating. Can you please let us know what time the ride is? And perhaps a specific address? Thank you!

Great ride, and many thanks for the lead.

Any thoughts on making this an annual charity event?

Hi Laura. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, Joe. The ride is a lovely way to pay tirbute to his life. I especially enjoyed reading about his use of profanity - I love the fould mouthed, particularly when they bike.

Congrats on your new job and shorter commute. Great pics of Nova Scotia.

Thank you for the nice ride. If you'd like, next ride up our way you could get norman torkelson to spec out your ride, he knows all the roads north of stockton. meeting at the mill would cut out 5 miles of bad roads.
