Hill Slugs Ad Hoc, Saturday, 16 November

14 November 2013 Saturday's ride has been outsourced to Cheryl and her biking buddies from northern New Jersey. The ride will be a 30-mile out-and-back trip on the Columbia Trail, a rails-to-trails project that goes from Long Valley to High Bridge along the Raritan River. The rest stop will be in Califon. The terrain is flat, but on crushed stone, so bring a mountain bike or a hybrid. Meet at 9:30 at Shop Rite Wine and Spirits, 120 Rt 206, in Chester. Says Cheryl, "It's on the southbound side, not to be confused with the Shop Rite Supermarket." She added, "Parking is tough at the trail head" so we'll consolidate and carpool to the path.
