Hill Slugs Ad Hoc, Saturday, March 15: Ed's Birthday Ride

13 March 2014

We're going to Main Street in Kingston, where Ed might share a cake with us.  Getting there and back will be either 50 miles (if you choose the 9:30 a.m. start at the Hopewell Administration Building on Main Street, across from Ingleside, in Pennington) or 61 miles (if you choose to start from my house at 9:00 a.m.).

I put some hills in that only Ed likes.  You can thank me later.

We live in Kingston now! I will probably cycle one half of the route and either join you or leave you in Kingston. Which half will be nicer? Eoghan will probably do both because he's not as lazy as I am.

Celeste - Only Laura knows for sure, of course, but if precedent is any guideline, the coolest stuff generally happens before the break. The after-break portion is usually straighter and shorter, although sometimes just as challenging.===Here's hoping we see youse both tomorrow; Eoghan can give me some more lessons in how to go up hills.

So hard to decide--it will be warmer in the second half. And you'll all be slower...

I'm thoroughly enjoying all of this speculation. In fact, I'm enjoying it so much that I'm not going to give anything away until the start of the ride tomorrow.

Neener neener neener.
