Sheesh. I didn't even get the chance to destroy the camera myself. When I turned it on this morning it gave me a "lens error" and that was the end of that. BJ's big-box online (*) is letting me send it back but their supplier won't do an exchange. So I'm camera-less again.
(* This is after stopping at three different stores -- all big-box because the small, independently-owned camera store near home seems to have evaporated -- and finding the camera sold out at all three places. I deserve this for even setting foot in a big-box store. I ought to know better. There's a real camera store here on Penn's campus. Maybe I'll stop by there on my way home from work.)
